Breezeblock Café Review

April 4, 2023

The Breezeblock Café is right around the corner of Building 8. The combination of great music and a calm ambiance makes it a good place to get some coffee and study, but the prices at Breezeblock are not as welcoming. Here are some of my personal recommendations of what to get and what not to go for on your next visit.

Iced Americano

As a frequent consumer of Americanos, I would consider the Breezeblock Americano a solid 4.5/5. It is tangy and not too bitter. One thing that Breezeblock does tend to do is overfill ice in their drinks, so it does get a little watered down in the end, but it is overall a decent purchase.

Banana Bread

The banana bread is not the best. Rating it at a 3/5, I would say that it gets the job done. The banana bread itself has a more cake-like texture rather than bread, and the taste is satisfactory. If you are craving banana cake I recommend getting it someplace else, but it is a quick and easy snack if you are craving something sweet.

Sourdough Grilled Cheese

As a fan of sourdough bread, this is one of my favorite items. I put it at a 3.5/5, due to the fact that the sandwich is a little salty, which makes it a little hard to finish. The bread is very good and they grill the sandwich in butter, so it is hard for the taste to be bad.

Chai Latte

The chai latte is one of my favorite drinks to get after school when it is hot out. It is not overly sweet and customizable by the type of milk – I recommend almond milk. I put it at a 4/5 and highly recommend it. As stated before, it does get watered down towards the end if you don’t drink it fast enough.
