A Look at Start with Hello Week

The SAVE Promise Club has started this school year making a statement in the SAS Wolfson community. From promoting and participating in mental health walks and raising $200 for suicide prevention, to hosting schoolwide social inclusion activities during Start with Hello Week, SAVE’s positive influence cannot be denied. Under the guiding hands of co-presidents, Stephanie He and Manuel Azpurua, SAVE continues working towards their goal of establishing Mental Health Rooms where students will have an official safe space to go to and destress. In fact, under the guidance of our schools mental health counselors, Ms. Ryan and Ms. Joseph, a weighted blanket—from Baloo—was donated to support the safe space in Ms. Ryans office located in building 5 (thanks Stephanie!). This resource is available to all students, so surely don’t be shy and take advantage! Taking a step back, away from the stress, will benefit you in numerous ways.
